Not Your Ordinary Eggs
We have a small flock of Heritage chickens and a couple of roosters at our small Truganic farm in Eldred, NY. They are allowed to roam free in season, and are fed a mix of organic grains and scratch mix. We also feed them our own fresh Truganic (no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers) greens, like kale, collards, chickweed, purslane (for Omega 3s), fresh veggies, sprouts, and varied herbs. Genetically modified corn is in all conventional chicken feed and you have no idea how harmful that can be. In today’s post pandemic world, we feel it’s important to avoid harmful chemicals and additives in your food, as well as GE organisms. As Hippocrates said: Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food.
